This swamp cooler is professionally built using precision machined parts. I get compliments and people asking if its original every time I drive my car. You can also add ice to the cooler by simply pouring it in the window slot. However it is functional as a blower, it really moves a lot of air into the car. It is only a replica as in it is hollow so you don’t add water to this one. So here it is this one up for sale is new.

I received so many compliments I decided to make more for those who didn’t want to pay the big bucks for an original one. I originally made one of these swamp coolers for my corvair. This replica swamp cooler is just what you need to give your ride that vintage look. A while back, a fellow enthusiast contacted me about a guy in Texas who makes replica’s of the old swamp coolers. I’ve always had my eyes open for one, but never willing to pay that much for one. If you find one in really good condition, you’ll pay even more. If you don’t know what a Swamp Cooler is, click here! If can find a vintage swamp cooler in decent condition, plan to pay 4 to 7 hundred dollars for it. My pleasure! Enjoy! All the best.Anybody who collects older cars, especially VW’s, want’s to have a Swamp Cooler in their collection.

I will be paying part of the shipping cost for you. I will use either Fedex or USPS shipping. It will cost too much to ship this overseas. The unit will be carefully packed and insured. You won't find a vintage swamp cooler in this condition very often. The round knob is a two speed fan control (low and high). In the off position you are using the unit as a fan only. On top of the unit you see a red on and off switch that turns the water on or off. Above the tank you see the silver filter and the inner colis behind that. There is a drain that unscrews to drain the water. When you look at the photo of the back you can see the black water tank that goes all the way across th bottom. The little rd knob you see under the door is the indicator on the float that tells you how much water is in the cooler. You pour water in the tank by opening the door panel located just under the speed control knob. They run anywhere from $129.00 up to $1600.00 for the high volume commercial models you see them using on the sidelines in the NFL. There are a ton of new atyle misters for sale on Ebay. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the condition.Swamp Coolers (or water misters) were popular before air conditioning came along. The most visible imperfection (and there is only one) is just a tiny pecil point size chip in the paint located on the left front edge about 3/4's of the way to the top. You have to look closely in person to see them. I tryed to show them in some close-up photos but they are so minor they do not show up. There are a few very minor superficial scratches/blemishes that are barely visible to the naked eye. It is incredible that somebody kept this piece in this excellent condition all of these years. It was made some time in1950's or thereabout. Definitely a very strong 8 or 9 on a scale of one to ten. I found this immaculate General Electric Air Cooler (swamp cooler) at the World's Biggest Garage sale in Warrensburg, New York. I am in the custom saxophone Mouthpiece business and I also like to buy and sell unusual items on the side. About This Swamp Cooler/ Air CoolerGreetings from Dave Jary.
